First swim of the season...

John, Mathew and Ken declare the swimming season open.  Water temperature - they tell me - is 16 degrees, and warmer than the showers.

Barmedman weekend March 2013 - photos by Kerry

Three of our best - at Barmedman
Kerry's Report on the weekend:

We did do some swimming, there was lots of chat and laughter, eating and drinking
We played barefoot bowls while enjoying a beer under a beautiful sunset.
Lots of fun was had by all, kids and the big kids off the pontoon.
Lyn tried all weekend to finish her book, we had time out at a retro cafe in Temora (you can see me in the mirror taking the pic).

A starting moment...

FACE THE WATER...
(Photographer's note: Love this photo - not only for its edges of morning light - but how it captures the unique style of readiness held by each swimmer before leaping into the race.  Not one the same.)

GO!

These photos were taken 10 March 2013, around 9am.  I was trying to capture a dive, mid-air.

I'll keep trying, and if I succeed, I'll post the results here.

Winner of the Arthur Lartar trophy for juniors 2013

The winner of the Arthur Lartar trophy for juniors, 2013 - having swum her way through seriously contested heats, semi finals and finals.  Well done!

Meet our newest club member

Meet our newest and smallest club member.  Little blue eyed doll, posing with Emily, is wearing club swimmers made by Emily's grandmother, Wendy.

Wendy cut down an old pair of swimmers to size, and now little blue eyed doll can join the swimming club.

Blue eyed doll is the fourth generation of club members.  Wendy (a keen non-swimmer and wife of Alan, one of our champions) is mother of Lyn (a winning swimmer), who is mother of Emily (another winner).  And you'd have to agree that blue eyed doll is the image of Emily.

Everyone wants to be photographed with blue eyed doll
